"55/35/10% cabernet/shiraz/malbec, from older Vale vines. A sumptuous wine, but still riding a saddle of savouriness over the regional norm of sweet fruit (and too often, excessive oak). Cassis, hedgerow, sage and a smear of black olive. Some anise and violet, too. The tannins, finely wrought. Fresh, long and effortless."

Tasting Notes

Bringing together the intensity of McLaren Vale with the flavour and opulence of Langhorne Creek has resulted in this delightful blend full of nuances. This Cabernet dominant blend shows upfront blackberry drive with savoury and leathery notes.

Look a little deeper and the influence of the Shiraz and Malbec shine through. Dark fruits, blackberry and plum flavours play beautifully with the blueberry and violet pop of the Malbec resulting in an intriguing and tasty blend that leaves you wanting more. The sweet and savoury flavours of this blend are delightfully suited to slow-cooked osso bucco with gremolata over polenta.
